Motorists Should Not take Advantage Of Partial lift On Ban to Abuse Traffic Laws -FRSC warns


The Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi has warned motorists that the lift of the interstate ban on movement by the federal government is not a warranty for reckless driving and overloading of vehicle.

"All motorists are made to observe all safe driving ideals, safety regulations on physical distancing in the vehicle and use of facemasks." Says Oyeyemi to all commanding officers

Charging them to ensure adequate deployment of personnel on all routes and directed personnel to show diligence and ensure total enforcement of restrictions on interstate travels during the curfew hours.

The Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem has warned that the permission of movement of vehicles across state borders was only outside curfew hours.

According to the Corps Marshal, considering the rising cases of the viral infection in the country, and the partial lift on interstate travels.

 it is most imperative for the Corps to redouble its efforts to ensure that drivers do not take advantage of the partial lift on the ban to abuse traffic laws.

He added that the increase in spread of the Coronavirus across the country has become a major concern that calls for priority operation.
